Description
Patrick has spent recent weeks testing this hypoallergenic gray metal, niobium, running precise electric currents through it to coax out color. This pendant features a hand engraved “shattered pattern” in magenta that matches the pink tourmaline against a dark blue background.
What you’re seeing isn’t paint or dye, it’s a durable oxide layer, formed by the current itself, that reflects certain wavelengths of light back to your eye. Same principle as a butterfly wing: no pigment, just structure catching the light.
