Vintage 1950’s Coco Chanel Paris Earrings. These exceptional vintage Chanel Paris earrings date to the 1950s , a formative era in the development of couture costume jewelry. Although unsigned , their design, construction, and materials are fully consistent with Chanel’s Paris atelier , where some of the most iconic Gripoix jewelry of the mid-20th century was created. Length 1.5″. Gripoix glass was produced by hand, with molten glass poured into molds and slowly cooled, resulting in organic textures and subtle variations that give each piece its distinctive character. Chanel was one of the most important couture houses to adopt and elevate this technique, using it in jewelry created to complement haute couture collections worn by some of the most stylish women of the era.
